The Parent Collective (PC) is open to all interested parents, and includes Class Representatives. All parents are invited and encouraged to attend PC meetings (typically held the third Thursday of each school month from 8:30am -10:30am) and support the vitally important work of the Parent Collective.

The Parent Collective strives to support and celebrate our EWS community through:

  • Strengthening EWS community bonds

  • Supporting community education

  • Inspiring parents and grandparents to volunteerism

  • Supporting the student/teacher relationship

  • Striving to facilitate and encourage parents’ ideas, inspirations and initiatives

  • Classroom representatives partner with teachers and families in each class and grade to support communication and foster a sense of community within the families represented in that class/grade.

  • Each year, families volunteer hundreds of hours to the Winter Light Faire, May Faire and Stone Soup which enlivens and enriches both our school and broader community.

  • Monthly Community Cafes provide a warm and welcome environment for parents to connect.

  • Gear Swaps provide an opportunity to donate and find proper fitting outdoor gear for your child.

  • Parent Education Events provide an invitation to our EWS and broader community to come and learn together.

  • New family welcome bags are lovingly put together to extend a warm welcome to families joining EWS.

  • Faculty and Staff appreciation lunch is a way for families to show how grateful we our for our teachers and staff!
